Thomas Boggs
SFC Thomas “T” Boggs was one of a kind. We worked together on several exercises in the mountains. I always asked that we be assigned as a team. We were in Vietnam at the same time. I would visit him at his unit in central Vietnam, and he would come to see me as well. It was truly a bond that only those who served together could understand. We both retired in the early 70's, me to South Florida and “T” up here in the mountains. Every couple of years I would be up this way on vacation, and I always made it a point to link up with “T” at the courthouse in Dahlonega. Those visits were always a highlight of the vacations. For the last several years we would get together at the USMRA meetings. “T” was a good man, but most of all he was a good friend. Respectfully, MAJ(R) Bob Bischoff.
