Student Scholarship Program

Each year, USMRA awards two scholarships to recognize excellence in leadership, service to community, and patriotism. Applicants must be the

  • son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter of a USMRA member
  • they are graduating seniors of a recognized public or private school or home-schooled senior students preparing to enter an accredited college or other post secondary institution and for whom written verification of qualification for graduation has been received
  • they must be nominated in writing by a USMRA member
  • and they must submit an application packet including biographical and other information concerning their extra curricular activities, civic or community services activities, humanitarian service work – and a 500 word essay entitled “What Can I Do to Be A Better Citizen?” - the intent of which is to convey the applicant’s beliefs and values.

After due consideration, the Scholarship Committee wil select two scholarship winners each year. These exemplary students will receive a $2000 cash award.

The USMRA Scholarship Committee wishes to thank the membership for the honor of having served in this capacity. We have once again had the opportunity to see first hand some outstanding young adults who have distinguished themselves by their pursuit of excellence and their willingness to serve their fellows. We also witnessed the tremendous comradeship and generosity of so many Rangers. Because of them, USMRA is able to award these scholarships. Indeed, Rangers Lead the Way!

The deadline for submitting a nomination packet is April 1st of each year.
