Tom was rescuing hikers by help on the TVD and had SOA guys stuck up on Cooper Gap Rd. No power, had generators slingloaded in from Ft. Benning. By the way I quit Measuring here in WV after the first 2 feet.9 straight snow days here a the County schools. |

After Vietnam, the overall Army supply system was broken and in great turmoil. It simply did not work in my opinion. He came in in 1972 and not only fixed the supply system for the Mountain Ranger Camp, he was also able to procure many things we previously could not obtain and had to purchase out of pocket. He cared for all the Cadre, soldiers and Ranger students and kept the logistics machine operating. RIP RLTW! |

We had two Officer Platoons and one Enlisted Platoon. After a week at Benning, four Marine officers asked to transfer to the Enlisted platoon. They were from Force Recon. They stood in ranks w/ us, the EM, on graduation day. Jim RLTW/L&P |
