Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Ken tatum Message: (Mike Young)Hi Mike, Sorry to have missed your call. I was at Eglin about 2 miles from Rudder, trying to teach some "red legs" to be INF. The cell phone connections there are non existence. I guess you can tell I am back on active duty, I managed to get back in after 4 years of writing letters and visiting every General I could remember. The Army agreed to let me return as an NCO. To make a long story short I had to go back to AIT at 56, yes!!. Finished AIT, deployed to Iraq as IN Squad leader. Currently awaiting orders for Ft Dix NJ where I'll be on the platform, hopefully I'll be able to pass on some 40 years of experience to these kids. Anyway mike call me on my cell or my home # 334-794-9017. I tell you it has been a fast 3 years since I put on the "Army Green" Take care you old fart, |

Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Joe Mattison Message: 90 years ago on this date, the First World War ended, at 11 AM European Time. We honored this date with the name Armistice Day and it remained so, until the 1950s. After WWII and Korea, the name was changed to Veterans Day, to honor all Veterans, of all Wars and all periods of Service. For details regarding the First World War, I have to defer those questions to Doug and Earl. To all Veterans, thanks for your service. |

Glad to see that the Jump wings and Pathfinder badge were swapped to opposite sides too. To Bill Miller: Great Job with the US Army Ranger Advisor Monument!!
