Message: You guys are funny! Do you really thnk that those Gals would put ; greasy, camoflage stick on their face, neck, ears, and hands? Had two differant Bns, Tactical MI Bns, one in Texas, another in FRG. In TX, 17% of my 700 plus Bn. was female and they were tough/sharp/ knew their job. In Europe, it was 35%. Same story. These were "Go to War" Bns. A small Detachment was assigned to 11th ACR at Fulda on a screening mission. About 6 females in that Det. No, they did not have to snoop around, run patrols, or carry rucksacks. But... they did their job right alongside their fellow soldiers. Things like ; putting up camoflage systems over the Tactical Trailers(TOCs) they would have two or three Gals, working together to get the system/poles up. Pulling the dual wheels on the 5 ton truck, usually two Gals. They did not ask for help, and the male soldiers did not cut them any slack! But the female soldiers knew their limitations.(kinda like Clint Eastwood!) None of them ever wanted to be Infantry, or Combat Arms, and definitley not RANGERS!!! I say, stay cool, wait and see, and laugh along with the rest of us! Jim RLTW

Message: Jim Regan : Rangers are supposed to ambush others. Admit it - you are a workaholic and a willing volunteer. I am in the pre-pre-plannng stage for the Fish Fry & Critter Cook Out. The Shrmp Gumbo for the Fish Fry and, maybe, a meat Jambalaya for the Cook Out if my "Cajun" cousins come through with a recipe they promised.
