Your first posting mentioned my ex-father-in-law amongst all those many names you spewed out - and I remember a lot of them, if not personally than from stories that Blunt would tell. I remember Stafford but he was retired by the time I came along. I also knew Walt Sutton pretty good - there was a younger game warden that made us kill the rattlesnake given to us by a certain Ranger - and as the warden was scared to reach in the cage to kill it himself, we had to and then had to show the remains to Walt for verification that the snake was dead. Was Big Mac at the motorpool back in those days? |

Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Al Parten Message: So Sorry to hear about Bob, Great Ranger and friend. On a lighter subject, I have photos from the Annual USMRA Easter Egg Hunt/ Cookout. I will send them the Webmaster and he can put the good ones in the photo album in our Album Thanks to Pete Anderson, Mike, John Cavender, Tami, and the JROTC from Lunpkin Co. program. They stuffed and hid most of if not all the eggs. Special thanks to the I think, SGM of the High School ROTC, He and the two young ladies did a lot to help in the event. We had a pretty good number of folks there, lots of kids. Overall it was a good morning and Lunch. Good to see you there Cathy, hope you enjoyed the Pete burgers. Sorry about the hot Sauce Steve. But I did say it was HOT suace, hsd several Rangers come up and ask me the h..l I put in that . I just call it Nitro |
