And if they won't ask you can give us a heads up on what they need which sound like everything. On another note, my youngest son, Benjamin just graduated from Infantry training and I was lucky enough to be able to put his blue cord on him. An old Ranger buddy from early A Co. 1st Batt days was Guest speaker. CSM (R) Michael T. Hall. Was good to see him and spend a few minutes together.Bill Spies from WAR was also on hand and glad to have him there. Ben is heading across post to Jump School and should graduate on Febuary 22nd. Makes a man proud to have two sons with wings. Steve |

Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Joe Mattison Message: Doug: Great to see you back on the comments board. Pappy Hudson is one who is on the peripheral of our Mountain Ranger Camp History. Very little is known about him, yet he's there...often talked about etc. It was Pappy Hudson that I had the pleasure of scattering his cremated remains from a UH60 Black Hawk back in the early 80s. We did a small memorial service with bugler and firing party for the family, then I marched his remains onto a waiting Black Hawk and off we went to his last Patrol Base. I never knew much about his active duty time. What do you two remember about him? Thanks....Joe |
