Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Cathy Beck Message: The first thing I thought about this morning when I awoke was how thankful I am for the military and their families. I have been thinking over and over again about the soldiers who will not be feasting on this day with their families and I just wanted all of you to know you are constantly in my thoughts and always in my prayers. I am so thankful for my journey of 26 years working with you and I cannot put into words what all of you really mean to me. My heart explodes with patriotism 24-7 and I so grateful for what you have taught me. Thank you and may all you have a blessed day and remember the ones who are away from the families and the ones who are having their blessed dinner with the Lord. I always enjoy talking to old friends, seeing people I haven't seen in many years, and getting to know others from different times in the mountains. Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Michael M. Keohane Message: Jim Regan : Right, as long as we did not call it "Ranger Training," a good instructor could keep troops interested and learning. Particulary on Field Training Exercises, where I spend a lot of time explaining what was going on and showing some "tricks" to make the job easier. Get them interested in what was going on and showing them what they could do to make life easier or simpler and, presto!, you have a "Ranger" platoon. |
