Posted: 12/31/1969 Name: Jerry Roberts Message: Guys, I did a tour at the Mountain Ranger Camp serving with Perry, Singletary and that crew back in the 70's. In April of next year some friends and i are riding our Harley's through the area enroute to the Dragons tail and Devils Triangle and would like to show them the mountaineering area and the camp. What does one have to do to get permission to visit? I was in Ranger class 13-72, served with B.co, C.co 75th Rangers with James Voyles and then B.co 2Bn under the WAD. |

'Bout 30 plus miles North of Dahlonega. Says almost an hour travel time. Looking' at the map, looks like lots of "EXITS," such as we have on the road to Camp. Also looks like a lot of Hill climbing and descending. Almost to N. Carolina border. Travel would be in October, lots of trees showing off their autumn colors. Snow not likely, but who knows in those hills. Hope we get a good turnout from our guys. Take care at stay cool & dry. Ji RLTW/L&P |
