Posted: 08/17/2023 Name: Bob Suchke Message: I just received word that my long time Ranger Buddy, SFC Roger L. McDonald passed away today 17 Aug. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced. Mac, as he was known by most, just lost his wife of 63 years just a short while ago. Mac was a Ranger Instructor at the Mountain Ranger Camp several times back in the late 1960's and early 1970's. He was NCOIC on "D" Team in the Combat Patrolling Committee. He retired in 1973 after 20 years of active duty including 3 tours in Vietnam. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Mac, I will see you on the high ground. RLTW! |
