Posted: 07/12/2025 Name: Stan Kelley Message: Fellow Rangers and all Veterans, The Lumpkin County Veterans Affairs Committee has been laying the groundwork for a Veterans Cemetery in Lumpkin County. We will provide our plan to the Board of Commissioners on August 5, at 1600 hrs. The briefing will take place at the LC Administration Building, 99 Courthouse Hill, Dahlonega, upstairs in the Commissioners Meeting Room. I’m asking for all Veterans to attend this meeting in a show of support for the project. While I believe we have the Boards support, a good turnout of veterans will help encourage them to proceed ahead and make this needed cemetery a reality! Thank each of you for your service! RLTW! Posted: 07/01/2025 Name: Bob Suchke Message: Rangers I just received word that CSM Bob Gilbert has passed away. CSM Gilbert was a legend in the Ranger Community where he served in multiple Ranger units to include L Co 75th Inf Rangers in Vietnam. He was also the Ranger Department Command Sergeant Major under Colonel Grange in the early 1970's. He had a long association with the Ranger Hall of Fame where he was also an inductee. RLTW! |
