Name: Willard Langdon

LTC(Ret) James (Jim) Waters passed away early this morning at his home. I called his home & spoke with his nurse yesterday about 5:00 pm. I gave her a message to give Jim, & while I was still on the phone, she told him that we all loved him and that we were all praying for him. He acknowledged with a nod of his head. She said he understood.

It is my understanding that he will be buried in Arlington when arrangements can be made.

Jim and I have spoken with each other several times a week for the last few years, and shared stories of our military careers. We were the best of friends.

For those who are not familiar with LTC Waters, he entered the military as an enlisted man, rose to the rank of SSG E-6, was wounded in Vietnam, went to OCS, and became an officer, and had a distinguished career as a Ranger officer. He was working in the Pentagon when the plane crashed into the building on 9-11-2001.

Jim was the kind of person that if you asked him to carry your bag for a mile, he would carry it for two.

Thanks to the DC Rangers/Special Forces group for all your help.

Psalm 23 Willard

Message: Sorry for the confusion. The club manager opened the Overhang at 1830 for our meeting. Unfortunately some where there and gone before he arrived.
